Meet Poole’s Spring 2025 Jenkins Graduate Commencement Ceremony Student Speaker
Jenkins MBA student Laura Fuller will deliver remarks to her fellow graduates at Poole's ceremony on Saturday, May 3.

Poole College of Management has announced Laura Fuller as the student speaker for the Spring 2025 Jenkins Graduate Commencement Ceremony on May 3. The ceremony will also be live-streamed from Reynolds Coliseum.
Fuller is from rural Northeast Florida, where she grew up on a pine tree and cattle farm. Her upbringing taught her the importance of hard work and perseverance, qualities she has demonstrated throughout her time at Poole.
She is a mother to four young children: “They are my ‘why’ for completing this program — to show them they can do hard things and finish strong,” she says.
Along with pursuing her MBA, Fuller works full-time as an accounting clerk for the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and part-time at NC State’s Howling Cow Creamery and Dairy Education Center.
“From representing NC State and Poole College on numerous study abroad programs to dishing up delicious happiness at Howling Cow, to welcoming and encouraging new students, to planning countless events, Laura has truly embraced every opportunity to engage, lead and give back,” says Nichole Miller, assistant dean of graduate programs.
“Laura has been a passionate advocate for the Jenkins graduate student experience.”
By the time she graduates, Fuller will have completed study abroad programs in Cape Town, South Africa; Paris, France; and Switzerland. She has earned certificates in Business Leadership and Marketing and is currently working toward her Project Management Professional certification.
Fuller has gone above and beyond during her time at NC State by serving as a Jenkins Graduate Delegate and a founding board member of the Graduate Student Advisory Board, where she served as an ambassador for Poole College and a liaison between students and faculty. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in project management for a company that improves the lives of others.
