Alex Huff

Previous Education: BS in Management, Purdue University

Alex has been a Professional Evening MBA student for two years and expects to graduate in the summer of 2023 with a focus in Leadership. He is a 20-year veteran in the energy industry where he works for the Alliance for Cooperative Energy Services (ACES) and has held many different leadership roles through the years. He currently holds the title of Executive Director of Portfolio Strategy where he focuses on providing clients with strategic power supply recommendations to hedge their long term energy market risks.

As an executive within ACES, Alex says the leadership focus within the NC State MBA Program has been extremely beneficial, and he is able to immediately apply and put into practice everything he is learning in the program.

Alex spent most of his life in the Midwest, but moved to Wake Forest, North Carolina in 2017. He has been married to his lovely wife Flavi for 13 years and they have 3 kids between the ages of 6 and 10. Family is very important to Alex and when he isn’t working or going to class, you can find him spending time with his wife, his 2 daughters and his son. He and each of his kids take part in the Y-Guides program through the YMCA of the Triangle, where they get to spend dedicated, one-on-one time participating in activities and building a strong bond.
