Beth Turner

Previous Education: BA French, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill

Beth has been in the Professional Evening MBA program since 2019 and plans to finish in December 2023. She has worked in the nonprofit sector as a Business and HR Manager. Her most recent role was at a small public health tech startup in Chapel Hill, NC managing a team that built software tools to collect data in retail environments. Prior to that, she co-founded a Triangle-based nonprofit called Girls Rock NC which offers summer arts, music and social justice programs to LGBTQIA+ youth.

Beth started the MBA program to further her career in management and to work in sectors outside the nonprofit world. She lives in Pittsboro, NC where she was elected to the town board of commissioners and served from 2011-2015. Beth enjoys playing tennis and exploring the lakes, trails and rivers in Chatham County.
