Hunter Brown
Program: Professional Evening
Previous Education: BA Biology, Carleton College; MS Biotechnology, Northwestern University
Hunter empowers rising leaders in STEM. To him, the phrase “I’m not a math person” is nails on a chalkboard, believing we are not born inherently good or bad in a given subject area, but rather sit as the masters of our own destiny, hamstrung only by our own self-doubt.
Following his undergraduate education from a small liberal arts college in Northfield Minnesota, Hunter joined AmeriCorps, instructing AP STEM curriculum to first-generation, low-income students in the Chicagoland area.
Hunter currently works at the Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center (BTEC) on Centennial Campus, training industry professionals in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology space on emerging technologies to advance US-based biomanufacturing capabilities. Hunter enjoys a good ‘Caturday’, the agenda of which includes playing with his two cats with the occasional mid-afternoon nap.
