Luke Hale
Program: Full time
Previous Education: BS Civil Engineering, Virginia Military Institute; MS Strategic Intelligence, National Intelligence University, DIA
Luke is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel with 20 years of active-duty service as an Intelligence and Armor Officer. Over that time, he had the opportunity to serve as a commander, chief of staff, or director of organizations that varied in size, scope, and locations across the globe. Each new role challenged his skills of measured leadership, professional agility, and communications — areas that can always be improved.
Luke started his journey as a full-time MBA student upon his retirement in 2021 to help translate his experiences into valuable tools for the business world. He serves as the MBA Student Association President as well as a Jenkins MBA Student Ambassador while he completes his studies in Supply Chain Management and Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Commercialization (TEC).
Outside of class, Luke also serves as the Virginia Military Institute Raleigh and Central North Carolina Alumni Chapter President, representing one of the largest and most active VMI alumni chapters in the country.
Luke’s hobbies include Karate, fitness, and learning to play the guitar. He and his fiancé live in Cary, NC, and together they have four children between the ages of 9 and 13.
