Basil Lyberg is a recognized community leader with a track record of helping organizations and people realize their full potential. He currently serves as CEO of The Ability Experience, a national charity that creates shared experiences to support people with disabilities and develop the men of Pi Kappa Phi into servant leaders. In concert with the board, Basil works to set the strategic course and works with staff to meet all mission outcomes and fundraising goals.
Previously, Basil was the Executive Director of the 24 Foundation, where he helped expand programs into four cities with more than 2,000 participants raising $2.5MM for cancer survivorship and research.
Basil is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 35 and was named a Distinguished Young Alumnus by his alma mater. He was also named to the Charlotte Business Journal’s Forty under 40 and was a finalist for the Charlotte Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year. A graduate of Central Michigan University, Basil resides in Charlotte, N.C. with his wife Michelle, two children, Emma and Luke with their two dogs, Magic and Birdie. He enjoys running and cycling having completed nine marathons and most recently cycled from Charlotte to Washington, D.C.
