Based out of Durham, NC, Heather sells genotyping services to research labs for Transnetyx. She has spent her career in biotech sales combining her love of medicine and science and serving people. In addition to her sales territory, Heather has prioritized leading initiatives around pay equity, FMLA leave, and creating a supportive community for working mothers.
Heather decided to pursue her MBA to better understand and sell the business case for diversity and inclusion. She believes that there is a place and need in the world for businesses to be a force for good. She has been active in the local women’s entrepreneur community. She has also been inspired by the B-Corp movement and participated in NCSU’s collaborative B-Corp Clinic that brings together local universities to help businesses pursue this impressive and rigorous designation regarding their social and environmental impact.
Outside of school and work, Heather is a mom to three curious and hilarious kids. Their family enjoys yoga, camping, hiking, the beach, and bouldering together.
