Q: Why did you choose the NC State Jenkins MBA program for your graduate education?

A: It was a great place to combine industry experience with hands on learning in tech commercialization field!

Q: How did your experience in the program contribute to your professional achievements and successes?

A: The TEC program was invaluable in teaching critical market assessment for new and existing business development. I use this framework daily in corporate development work when looking at programs and opportunities that align with our technology and market needs.

Q: What did you enjoy most about your time in the Jenkins MBA program?

A: The TEC program was the best, with corporate finance being second. Both teach skills needed often in industry jobs.

Q: What do you miss most now that you have graduated?

A: Looking at new technologies and case studies- I miss the diversity of situations and cases you learn in.

Q: What advice would you give for prospective and current students who are interested in your industry/profession?

A: Learn critical thinking and time management early on, it’ll save you a lot of time in business development by setting up best practices now rather than when you’re already too busy.

Q: What advice do you have for prospective Jenkins MBA students?

A: Plan your courses ahead of time and be proactive in building your network past just the university.

Q: Could you give a brief explanation of your current line of work, and what has led you to it?

A: Leader in Corporate Business Development and Licensing. This involves partnering and collaborations with academic and industry partners to further development of the chemistry platform.

Q: What do you believe is your most interesting accomplishment since graduation?

A: Being able to wear a lot of hats at work, and work with top players in their field.

Q: What are your goals and plans for the future?

A: Become CEO of my own business that looks at new technology and scouting for solutions that add value to whole food chain.
