Santore, Brittany

Brittany Santore is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others and embraces NC State University’s motto of “Think and Do” by thinking actively and acting thoughtfully. 

Brittany works at North Carolina State University in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering (BAE) Department. As the Lead Workshop and Conferences Coordinator for Cooperative Extension, Brittany supports over 45 workshops and at least 2 conferences a year in subject matter areas such as stormwater management, stream restoration, turfgrass management and produce safety education. Brittany feels privileged to facilitate the training and certification of over 3,000 industry professionals and college students each year and assisting them in pursuing their personal and professional goals.

Brittany is also the Chair of the BAE Sustainability Committee and was recently awarded the NC State Sustainability Grant to build vertical gardens and bee hotel habitats around the Department’s buildings. The committee hopes to provide educational opportunities to BAE students, faculty, and staff as well as participate in university beautification efforts.

In addition to her professional career, Brittany is passionate about serving her community with an emphasis in supporting women. Brittany currently volunteers with Designed For Joy, a local non-profit that provides a living wage and spiritual support for women coming from trafficking, homelessness, time in prison, overcoming addiction or other vulnerable situations. 

Previously, Brittany has volunteered as the website designer for Triangle Women in STEM (TriWiSTEM) and as the Marketing Director at The New Hope Valley Railway and Museum (NHVR). Triangle Women in Stem is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting inclusion and success for women of all ages in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. NHVR is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that restores steam and diesel locomotives and provides educational activities and train rides to enthusiasts of all ages.
