Matt Vernon takes the scenic route. He blazed a trail to BASF, the world’s largest chemical company, by way of museum experience with the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources. Matt connects the dots between disparate processes in order to make things better. He’s currently facilitating Interdependent Quality Culture within the Crop Protection division’s North American Operations department in Research Triangle Park. IDQC is about helping everyone on the team recognize their power to impact quality by driving change.
When Matt’s not at work, he loves listening to his three-year-old tell stories about her former life as a unicorn, camping in the rain with his six-year-old, watching stand-up comedy shows with his wife, and cleaning up after his cat. Sometimes he plays a collectible card game called Magic: The Gathering.
