Ben is a strategic business developer, with 12 years of experience managing and establishing animal health innovation. Since 2011, he has been recognized for sales leadership, launching innovative veterinary products and conducting market research in emerging markets for Novartis Animal Health. At Novartis, Ben’s sales management, public relations, and communications expertise, resulted in the majority of his team’s customer contribution, and his efficient investigation into untapped markets revealed millions of dollars in potential revenue. Prior to Novartis, Ben represented an all-natural animal supply distribution firm where he solved his regional territory’s number one customer complaint, increasing revenue over 100% within half a year. From 2003 to 2010, he established the most reliable aquatic animal care service in Las Vegas, differentiating his company to win dozens of commercial accounts with leading industry clients such as MGM Mirage Resorts and Stations Casinos. While he started-up his business, Ben worked as an aquarist from 2001-2006, collaborating with a team of biologists, veterinarians, and curators, implementing animal husbandry and conservation initiatives at the largest accredited public aquarium in Nevada.

In 2008, as a McNair Scholar, he earned a BA in Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and in 2000 a BS in Biology from the College of Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. With his multicultural heritage, diverse education, and a deep interest in bioscience business development, Ben enjoys leading innovative business ventures that create value and improve lives.
