Jen Wiles has almost 10 years of clinical experience in acute care, including emergency medicine, retail health, and surgical services. Her nursing experience has led her to professional and volunteer positions in multiple locations, both domestically and globally. She received a BSN from Gardner-Webb University in 2008 and an MSN from Vanderbilt University in 2010. Since graduating from Vanderbilt, she has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in various specialties and settings.
She began the MBA program at NC State University in 2014 with a desire to learn the business side of healthcare. Her concentration has evolved from a general understanding of business management to a focus on entrepreneurship, project management, and innovation in the healthcare industry. She aspires to combine her clinical expertise with her business acumen in a senior level position in a healthcare startup or non-profit, preferably in the Triangle. Her main interests include innovation in healthcare technology or efforts to improve health outcomes for the underserved both locally and internationally.
