MBA Marketplace Invite

All Professional and Online students should have received an evite to the MBA Marketplace Event on August 12th at 3pm at HQ Raleigh. Be apart of this exciting event for our new Full-time MBA Cohort as they compete against each other to deliver goods or services while learning about the global marketplace. If you are invited to attend as a shopper (you will get $50 Marketplace Bucks to spend on real goods and services) and network with other MBA students, faculty, and staff.  Please make sure to RSVP if you are coming!

Academic Advising and Registration 

Fall Tuition Bills Due August 1st – Late Late Registration Now

All tuition bills were due on August 1st. Those not registered at this point will need to pay both the $100 late fee and prepay for their classes. Please contact the Cashier’s Office directly before contacting your advisor for registration help. The prepayment hold must be taken off by the Cashier’s Office before you can register.

Fall 2016 Semester Calendar

With less than a month left before the start of the semester, make sure you are looking at the Fall 2016 Semester Calendar and adding important dates to your personal calendar.  Exact course dates for the 5 week and 10 week core classes are available at the following links: Daytime Full-time, Main Campus Evening, RTP Evening, Online

Career Management Center

Join us for a kick-off webinar meeting where John Hutchings, Associate Director, Working Professional MBAs, will introduce CMC initiatives for Working Professionals this academic year.  John will introduce a –

  • New career coaching team and a corresponding new approach to coaching (hint – we will be much more connected to you than in the past)
  • Robust career training programming strategy and calendar which includes lunch-time webinars andSaturday morning experiential learning labs.
  • Better process for students who choose to participate in on-campus recruiting and MBA-hosted employer engagements, to do so
  • New career management portal, MBAFocus/Gradleaders which replaced Joblink by Symplicity over the summer.
  • Virtual career management learning tutorial concept to be rolled out during the school year

Veteran Affairs: NC State Student Veteran Summit

Attention all veterans: The Student Veteran Summit is here to help student veterans and dependents connect with each other and the campus community while learning about the resources and opportunities that exist at NC State that contribute to your success as a student. Beginning with an address from Army Lt. General Daniel Bolger, a retired three star general and faculty member at NC State, the Student Veteran Summit will also include a student panel and sessions on topics including: academic expectations and potential transition issues, learning assistance resources, health and wellness, paying your way financially, and building your future through engagement and career services. The Summit will be held on Saturday, August 13 from 2:00-6:30 PM in the Talley Student Union. FoodCon 2016

Save the Date: Friday, November 11th at Talley Student Union NC State Net Impact will host FoodCon 2016, a conference focused on the business of sustainable food. Together with UNC Net Impact and Duke’s Fuqua Food Forum, we will bring together a diverse audience of students, community members, and business professionals interested and/or working in the sustainable food industry. Our goal is to increase awareness and understanding of the sustainable food industry as well as support and grow the industry here in North Carolina and throughout the country.
