The Princeton Review ranks NC State Jenkins Online MBA among top programs worldwide
The Princeton Review today released its first annual ranking of online MBA programs worldwide. NC State University’s Jenkins Professional Online MBA program secured a No. 20 ranking on the list. This represents the third top-20 ranking in the past year for NC State’s program (Bloomberg Businessweek No.9 and Poets & Quants No. 17).
The Princeton Review list — which names the top 25 schools — is the first comprehensive ranking of online MBA programs comprised of survey data from both administrators at the schools and of students attending the online MBA programs. Programs must deliver at least 75 percent of their program online to have been eligible for the ranking.
The survey for school administrators covered admissions selectivity, graduation and retention rates, faculty training and credentials, technological infrastructure, student indebtedness, and career outcomes among other items.
The student survey covered the topics of faculty, fellow students, career preparation, academics, the technology platform, and overall satisfaction with their programs.
“Our vision for the Jenkins MBA programs includes distinguished leadership in technology and innovation,” said Ira Weiss, dean and Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Chair at thePoole College of Management.
“We are excited for the recognition this new ranking provides to our Professional Online MBA program and our mission to educate talented professionals through our hands-on, practical approach to MBA education coupled with our focus on innovation and technology,” he said.
“Applications for our online MBA program are up more than 50 percent year over year, and we are planning for continued growth. While highly interactive, our program design provides the utmost flexibility an online MBA program can offer – and exposes our students to the top-notch expertise of the same faculty teaching our on-campus MBA programs,” said Steve Allen, associate dean for graduate programs and research at Poole College.
“We’re incredibly excited about the future of this program,” Allen said.

The NC State Jenkins MBA program is currently accepting applications for the Professional Online MBA program starting in January 2016. The NC State Jenkins MBA is available in three formats: full-time, professional evening and professional online.
