Turanay Caner
Bio
Turanay Caner is an associate professor of strategic management in the NC State Poole College of Management.
Her areas of research include problem-solving at firm and individual levels, performance feedback and strategic actions, characteristics of strategic alliance and firm knowledge portfolios, and invention and new product innovation.
Her work has been published in Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Engineering and Technology Management. Turanay serves on the editorial board of Journal of Management Studies, American Journal of Business, and Review of Business: Interdisciplinary Journal on Risk and Society.
To date, Turanay’s research has been funded by grants from NC State, St. John’s University, as well as by a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF, Proposal # 1535986).
She teaches strategic management in undergraduate and MBA programs. She also taught at the Executive in Residence Program at St. John’s University where she provided joint business consulting (with students) to companies and NFP organizations in New York City, NY.
Prior to earning her doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh, Turanay worked in the financial services and electronics industry in the U.S. and Turkey.
