Q: Why did you choose the NC State Jenkins MBA program for your graduate education?

A: I chose the Jenkins program because of its focus on technology and practical curriculum. I prefer a hands on approach to learning and being able to work on projects using real life examples made much more of an impact on me.

Q: How did your experience in the program contribute to your professional achievements and successes?

A: The online program allowed me to experience working virtually with team members from all over the world. Not only did it allow the opportunity to further learn how to work with folks from other cultures, it also allowed me to better appreciate how hard you have to work for a virtual team to succeed. I now lead projects with global team members and I don’t think they would be as successful without the experiences gained during the Jenkins program.

Q: What did you enjoy most about your time in the Jenkins MBA program?

A: The flexibility of the online program paired with the rigor and structure it provided allowed me many options to complete it at my speed.

Q: What are a few of the most impactful classes/lessons you learned during your time at NC State?

A: Project management, people management and business plan generation were the most impactful classes that I took. Not only do I leverage some of the general themes taught during those classes, but I still reference the text books- they were that good!

Q: What advice do you have for prospective Jenkins MBA students?

A: Never stop asking questions. Ever. Whether that be during your classes or after, never stop.

Q: Could you give a brief explanation of your current line of work, and what has led you to it?

A: I now support SAP for a company with a global footprint. I was driven to SAP via the ERP focused classes provided in the Jenkins program. I am able to better support the system, both locally and internationally, because of some of the experiences I had during my time.
