SAP University Alliances Certificate
The SAP University Alliances (UA) Certificate demonstrates to employers that the student has knowledge of SAP-enabled business processes, controls, and configuration. The certificate is a valuable addition to a student’s resume, making the student more competitive in this technology-driven global marketplace.
Overview

The SAP University Alliances (UA) is a global program enabling more than 3,500 educational institutions in over 113 countries to integrate the latest SAP technologies into teaching. Students who complete a sequence of SAP-related courses are eligible to receive the SAP UA Certificate.
Currently, 87% of the Forbes Global 2000 companies use SAP ERP system. Some of the organizations that use SAP include Verizon, Bank of America, Caterpillar, IBM, Harley-Davidson, GlaxoSmithKline, State of North Carolina, and Lenovo.
NOTE: The SAP certificate offered by Poole College is only available to currently enrolled Jenkins Graduate School of Management students. This certificate program is not formally recognized by the NC State University Graduate School and will not be noted as such on your official transcript.
Curriculum
The SAP University Alliances (UA) Program provides coursework in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, SAP. This program is led by Dr. Marianne Bradford, Professor of Accounting.
Required courses for certification:
- MBA 515 Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (3 hrs)
- MBA 590 (Advanced) ERP Configuration Using SAP (1 hr)
Note: MBA 515 is a prerequisite or co-requisite for MBA 590. MBA 515 is typically available during the fall and spring semesters, and MBA 590 is offered online during the second half of the spring semester.
Upon completion of the courses, students are eligible to receive the SAP UA Certificate. The college issues this certificate, signed by Professor Bradford, the SAP UA Faculty Coordinator for NC State.
Eligibility Requirements
All students enrolled in the Jenkins Graduate School of Management are eligible to earn the SAP University Alliances Certificate and are encouraged to discuss their interest with an academic advisor.
