Assistantships and Scholarships
To be considered for any of the NC State financial aid listed below, it is recommended that you apply to the MBA Program by the January deadline (Full-Time MBA) or One Day to MBA deadline (Professional Online MBA). Graduate Assistantships are available to Full-Time students only, while scholarships are available to Full-Time and Professional Online MBA students.
Graduate Assistantships
Applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership potential are eligible to receive a Jenkins MBA Graduate Assistantship. Benefits include full or partial tuition coverage, health insurance and a stipend. Awards are typically made during the admission process before students begin the MBA program. Graduate Assistants work up to 20 hours per week for the MBA program in various positions.
Requirements:
- Full-Time MBA student
- Enrolled in 9+ credit hours per semester
- Outstanding academic qualifications
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during tenure as a graduate assistant
- Applicants who have already completed four (4) or more semesters of graduate study at NC State are not eligible
To apply: Complete the GA request essay in the application for admission. We recommend applying by the January deadline for consideration.

NC State Scholarships
Jenkins MBA Scholarship
Applicants who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership potential may be considered for the Jenkins MBA Scholarship. Award amounts may vary and are typically offered prior to the start of the student’s first semester in the MBA program.
Requirements:
- Full-time MBA or Professional Online MBA student
- Outstanding academic qualifications
- Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the MBA program while receiving the scholarship

Dr. Emol A. Fails Graduate Fellowship
Funded through an endowment provided to NC State by the Emol A. Fails Memorial Foundation, the Fails Graduate Fellowship is designed to provide supplemental support to a graduate student who is interested in a career in the construction industry.
Requirements: Full-Time MBA and Professional Online MBA students with at least two semesters of study left prior to graduation; Engineering undergraduate degree; Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Non-State Scholarships
NC State University does not administer these scholarships, and the requirements and other related information may change at any time. Please contact each organization directly to obtain information about eligibility and requirements.
National Society of Professional Engineers Scholarships
$2,500 fellowship awarded to engineers pursuing advanced studies in management
Requirements: Engineer Intern (EI) or licensed Professional Engineer (PE) employed in the practice of engineering. Must be a U.S. citizen or (for international students) a member of NSPE.

Prospanica
Scholarships range from $2,500 to $10,000
