Eclipse Day Celebration

August 21, 2017 @ 12:30 am - 4:00 pm EDT

For the first time in 99 years, a total solar eclipse will cross the United States. During this rare celestial event, the moon will pass between the sun and the Earth, appearing to block the sun for almost an hour and a half. The eclipse will occur during the afternoon, peaking at 2:44 p.m.

Join the College of Sciences in this celebration Eclipse Day on the Brickyard. CoEd faculty and staff will have special “eclipse glasses” and a telescope with a solar filter that will allow attendees to safely view the eclipse, plus make-your-own pinhole cameras, citizen-science projects and more eclipse-related fun.
