Teaching and Student Engagement
My classroom approach is highly interactive; while we cover broad strategic concepts, I emphasize getting into the details and tangible applications. My courses place a strong emphasis on practice-based learning through the use of case-method teaching, interactive activities (i.e., simulations and exercises), and industry speakers.
Research and Industry Experience
My research explores environmental and social responsibility within supply chains. I investigate topics such as how transparency influences consumer and corporate decision-making, methods to motivate suppliers toward better sustainability practices, the impact of environmental regulations, and the role of audits in improving corporate social responsibility (CSR). My work has appeared in leading publications like Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Sloan Management Review.
Why Poole College?
A major reason I joined Poole College was the opportunity to be part of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC). I believe strongly in applied, data-driven research, and the SCRC offers an ideal environment to test and challenge theory through engagement with partner companies. This collaborative approach allows me to work on real-world projects and address pressing issues in supply chain sustainability and social responsibility. The commitment to connecting academic expertise with industry needs here at Poole aligns perfectly with my research and teaching philosophies.
