Admitted Student Checklist

It is important for you to check your NC State email regularly over the coming months. You will be receiving information critical to starting the MBA program successfully. In addition to checking your NC State email often, there are a few other important action items outlined below. Should you have any questions, please reach out to mba@ncsu.edu.

Before you can be fully admitted, you must submit all final documentation, which includes all official transcripts and any international student documents required (if applicable). Following submission, The Graduate School will email to you an updated decision notification that includes your NC State University “Unity ID.”

Complete your Intent to Enroll form and submit your $500.00 Enrollment Deposit. Instructions for submitting your deposit are available in your official admission email from the Dean of the Graduate School.

You should have already received an email from the Jenkins MBA Admissions Director recommending you for admission. Your official admission letter from The Graduate School Dean will soon be posted in your online application portal. This letter will include your Campus ID number (also referred to as your Student ID). This is not to be confused with your Unity ID, which you will receive following submission of all official documentation. View our Admissions FAQs to review the distinction between Campus ID and Unity ID. The Jenkins MBA Office will send you additional emails with important information.

Once you have completed the steps above and are enrolled as a Jenkins MBA student, you’re all set to prepare for our mandatory orientation. Review the orientation information via the Moodle site as well as look out for emails regarding specific preparation in the months prior to the August start. Jenkins Bootcamp will help prepare you for your quantitative MBA courses. Bootcamp is also mandatory and will be held on campus prior to orientation. Additional details on dates coming soon!

You are enrolled in the Jenkins MBA Student Hub, your one-stop shop for all things advising and student affairs. To access it, log in to wolfware.ncsu.edu and click on the “Projects” tab. Take time to become familiar with the Hub prior to meeting with your advisor. It is a valuable resource that is available to you 24/7.

You will receive an email from your advisor regarding your initial advising appointment.  If you have been admitted for the fall semester you can expect this to happen in April. If you have been admitted for the spring semester you can expect this to happen in November.  During your advising appointment, you will discuss the MBA curriculum and your plan for the program, including the classes you will take your first semester. Your advisor will help with any questions that you have regarding the program, scheduling, and registration.  Please note that you may not register for classes until you are a fully enrolled and admitted NC State student, and have met with your advisor. Additionally, please know that we have saved seats in the classes that you need so you do not need to worry about getting into your core MBA classes.

Once you have spoken with your academic advisor and developed a plan with regards to your classes, you should go ahead and register for the upcoming semester’s classes. Please keep in mind that you will also have to submit your tuition payment by the indicated due date as per the Cashier’s Office.
